Marion Miller Knowles was born at Woods Point, Victoria on August 8th, 1865 and died in Camberwell on September 16th, 1949. Not all her work was published, and she also wrote under other names including M.M. Knowles, Marion Miller and John Desmond. She was awarded The Order of the British Empire, Member (Civil), in 1938.
